IQPlus, (27/7) - Gubernur Bank Indonesia Perry Warjiyo telah mengundurkan diri dari jabatannya, kata Menteri Sekretariat Negara Indonesia Prasetyo Hadi pada hari Senin.
Presiden Prabowo Subianto telah menerima pengunduran diri Warjiyo, kata menteri tersebut.
Destry Damayanti, seorang wakil gubernur senior di BI, telah ditunjuk sebagai gubernur sementara. Destry mengatakan bahwa Warjiyo mengundurkan diri karena alasan pribadi.
Warjiyo pertama kali diangkat sebagai gubernur pada tahun 2018. Ia diangkat kembali untuk masa jabatan lima tahun kedua pada tahun 2023. (end/Reuters)
